THC Nano Bursts vs Gummies: How Water Solubility Changes Everything

Gummies are a staple of the cannabis and hemp industry. They’re easy to take, come in a bunch of fun flavors, and have always been a good alternative for those who don’t want to partake in more traditional forms. While we will always remain a fan of the gummy, and continue to offer gummies in many forms (cannabinoids, THCs, vegan, and even Amanita Muscaria), our new Nano Bursts are a game changer for how you can experience Delta 9 THC.

Water Soluble THC

Oil and water don’t mix. Or do they? The ability to make CBD or THC oil combine with water has been one of the greatest innovations for the hemp industry in recent years. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities. What was once confined to tinctures and gummies can now be opened up to drinks, beverage enhancers, and heck, even water soluble tinctures. And now Nano Bursts. But water solubility doesn’t just change how you take your CBD or THC. It also changes how you experience it. More on that in a little bit.

But first, let’s talk about the science of making oil mix with water. And no, we’re not talking about really fabulous vinaigrette. You’d need more than some brisk whisking to do the trick. It all starts with nanotechnology, which is the science of breaking down molecules to atomic levels. Our crack product development team used nanotechnology to break the hydrogen and oxygen bond in the Delta 9 THC ) molecule. This makes it small enough to where it can fully fit inside the water molecule. For reference, that's 400th the size of a human hair. Science is cool.

Nano Bursts vs Gummies

Here’s where things get fun. Water soluble THC isn’t just about mixing it with your morning coffee or favorite soda, although that is a definite perk. The molecule size also affects the overall experience. Because the THC molecule is now significantly smaller, it increases the bioavailability (the percentage that’s actually absorbed by the body). And because it’s able to get to your bloodstream faster, you’ll experience the effects more quickly.

Here are a few of the key differences.

  • With Nano Bursts, you'll start to feel the effects in about 10-20 minutes! With gummies, it can take about an hour and half.

  • Bioavailability is about three times stronger (which is what we mean by biofactor 3x). This means that a 10 mg Nano Burst will have a similar effect on your body as a 30 mg gummy.

  • Finally, versatility. Nano Bursts can be taken in a number of ways... however suits you best. You can drink it in one go, add it to a beverage (check out the caramel and vanilla flavors for you coffee fiends), or freeze (mini popsicle, anyone?).

Legalities

When talking about Delta 9 THC (yes, that THC), it's important to all about the legalities of it all. First thing's first, according to the 2018 Farm Bill, our Nano Bursts are federally legal because it contains less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC. However, the laws in certain states are more restrictive, so make sure you know what's what in your state before you order. Even with that 0.3% limitation, one of the perks of the Nano Shots is that less is more (max compliance style).

PS. Don't Miss the Mango

Our THC Nano Bursts are available in several fantastic natural flavors: caramel, vanilla, mixed fruit and mango. Bonus points, all the flavors and colorings are completely natural! Now, mango has an interesting reputation when it comes to cannabis. It's said that mango can enhance or intensify your high. This is because Myrcene, a compound found naturally in mangos, interacts with THC and different terpenes, as well as potentially with absorption. There haven't been any scientific studies out there to confirm this, but some people swear by it. If you're looking for an extra little kick with your Nano Burst, check out mango.
